Barry Manilow may write the songs, but I write everything else. Feature articles for magazines and newspapers, online content and blogs, ad copy, sponsored content, press releases, speeches, marketing materials, corporate communications, resumes, screenplays, really bad poetry, grocery lists…
Based in Indianapolis, I’ve been working as a professional freelance writer and editor since 2002. (Check out the “Clients” tab above if you’d like to see some of my past and present outlets.) I’ve held full-time positions producing custom content for the Indianapolis Star and the Chicago Tribune/Chicagoland Publishing, and I spent two years in Los Angeles pursuing a screenwriting career. My “Then Comes Marriage” feature comedy/drama script has been optioned and won an honorable mention in the Writer’s Digest Writing Competition.
Food and regional Midwest travel are my favorite subjects to write about. Oh, and I’m currently serving a second term as Active Vice President for the Midwest Travel Journalists Association.
So what’s in all this for you? Quite simply, I’m an experienced professional writer and editor who can help you effectively communicate with your readers, clients and customers in a creatively compelling way.
